Lionsgate proudly presents Angelique, the complete collection of classic movies based on the best-selling romance novels of the 1960s. The “Angelique” book series has sold over 150 million copies and has been published in 45 different languages and 63 countries. Available for the first time on DVD in the United States, the compilation features all five film adaptations - Angelique, Angelique: Road to Versailles, Angelique and the King, Untamable Angelique and Angelique and the Sultan.

Based in the Louis XIV era of French history, Angelique features the best of swashbuckling cinema, filled with adventure, humour and unrestrained romantic passion. At 17, Angelique, daughter of an impoverished country nobleman, finds herself betrothed to the rich Joffrey de Peyrac. Angelique is a woman of temperament, independence and audacity and her quest for love and happiness leads her from the gutters of Paris to the Palaces Versailles.

I remember my mother and Aunt discussing the Angelique stories over folding laundry. They would take turns buying the books and then sharing them. My Aunt would bring my cousins and we would all have a lunch then my Mom and Aunt would start doing laundry. My cousins and I were always fasinated with the stories. Thanks for the great giveaway.
