Set in the world of Ethegia, players take on the role of the Temperions, beings created through genetic engineering and arcane rites to engage in bloody combat with the walking nightmares stalking the land.
Using the Havok engine, Requiem: Bloodymare brings to life a visually stunning realm where fallout from generations of scientific and mystical warfare has polluted the natural world and given birth to horribly mutated monsters. The battles between players and these grotesque creatures are rendered with intense sequences of bloody and gory graphics.
“We’ve dedicated more than four years of intense development to be sure Requiem: Bloodymare really brings something unique in the MMO market.” Peter Kang, CEO, Gravity Interactive, said. “We very consciously decided when we started the project that we wanted to diversify our offering to include much more than the cute, anime inspired gameplay of our previous hits. Requiem isn’t a game for kids; this is for mature players that are looking for hardcore content that conjures up their deepest nightmares and fears.”

During the promotion, games that carry suggested retail prices (SRPs) of US$19.95 will be available for US$9.98, and games with SRPs of $14.95 will be available for US$7.48.
“With the holidays looming and people looking for that last-minute gift or something for the tough-to-buy-for person on their list, we decided it would be a good time to try a sizable discount offer and make it available in multiple forms,” explained John Vechey, co-founder of PopCap and director of online operations. “Whether it’s for the kid sister who’s in one of those ‘nothing is cool’ mindsets or the great-grandmother who already has everything else in the world, a PopCap game is a sure-fire gift that the whole family will enjoy.”
The printable/email-able gift certificate on PopCap’s site is whimsically illustrated with characters and iconic imagery from the company’s biggest hits including Bejeweled®, Bookworm™, Zuma™ and Insaniquarium™. Using the gift certificate is fast and easy:
Purchasing the gift certificate takes less than a minute via any major credit card.

SEATTLE, Washington – November 21, 2007 — PopCap Games, the leading developer and publisher of casual games, today announced the immediate availability of its hugely popular game Bookworm™ for a wide array of cell phones in North America and the United Kingdom. Originally launched for Web and PC play in 2003, and the recipient of numerous accolades including “Puzzle Game of the Year” from Games for Windows magazine (nee Computer Gaming World), Bookworm has been a resounding success on BlackBerry since becoming available for that handheld device in April of this year. Bookworm is the second mobile game PopCap has developed internally, and is available today from T-Mobile in the UK and all major mobile carriers throughout North America.
“Bookworm is very well suited for mobile phones because it can be played in short bursts of a minute or two whenever and wherever the opportunity arises,” said Andrew Stein, director of mobile business development at PopCap. “At the same time, the game also offers a great challenge for marathon word-builders since it’s essentially infinite in its replayability. We’ve streamlined and optimized the controls so that playing Bookworm on a phone is even easier than via a mouse or keyboard. And the game now references the Oxford English Dictionary, so even the most inveterate ‘lexophile’ will be satisfied.”
In Bookworm, players must build words from contiguous letter tiles on a grid. Longer and more difficult words score more points and produce a variety of “gem tiles” that offer additional bonuses (and mega-bonuses when multiple gem tiles are used in a single word). Burning tiles sear through normal tiles, reaching the bottom of the grid more quickly; they must be used before they reach the bottom or the game ends. With the new mobile version, players have the option to control the selection of letter tiles via d-pad/cursor, triple-tap or predictive text entry, such that the game controls are streamlined specifically for on-the-go play.
Key features of Bookworm Mobile include:

New Hidden Object Puzzler from SpinTop Studio Transports Players to Egypt for Exotic Treasure Hunt
Vancouver, British Columbia – November 5, 2007 – SpinTop Games, a division of leading casual game developer and publisher PopCap Games, today announced the immediate availability of Amazing Adventures The Lost Tomb™, a new “hidden object” puzzle game with an Egyptian theme. SpinTop, acquired by PopCap in July of this year, is a leading developer of casual games, with classics such as Mystery P.I.™ – The Lottery Ticket, Mahjong Escape® and Mystery Solitaire™ to its credit. Amazing Adventures The Lost Tomb carries a retail price of US$19.95, and a free trial of the deluxe version is available now for download at www.popcap.com and www.spintop-games.com. The game will also be available on other leading game portals, including RealArcade.com, MSN Gaming Zone and Yahoo! Games, in mid-November.
“We set out to create an immersive hidden object game, and decided the Egyptian setting would be perfect for a number of reasons,” stated Duncan Magee, co-director and co-founder of SpinTop. “First, the art and imagery is strikingly beautiful and intriguing; second, there’s so much history to explore in the form of classic objects and edifices, from the Sphinx to the Great Pyramids.”
In Amazing Adventures The Lost Tomb, adventurers undertake a series of missions comprising more than 100 levels and well over 2,000 hidden objects spanning numerous Egyptian locales, structures and settings. Visit the Nile River, a crowded Cairo bazaar, the Great Pyramid of Giza, and archaeological digs and throne rooms, to name a few. Along the way, players are challenged by seven different types of mini-games and puzzle traps including “spot the differences” as they strive to uncover the location of the Lost Tomb and the treasure locked within.

World of Warcraft is an online game which explores in great detail the landscape and story involved in the Warcraft pc game series. With nine million subscribers and growing daily, this MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role-playing Game) is one near and dear to this reviewer’s heart.
For fans of Blizzard Entertainment’s many strategy games, playing World of Warcraft is more than just a pastime; it’s homage to a long-standing legacy. Earlier in the year, millions of players braved the midnight rush to purchase World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, the very first WoW expansion. Mere weeks ago, a German rating group leaked information regarding new content called “Wrath of the Lich King.”
Having had the beans spilled and with nearly every player I’ve run into in the time since the leak came buzzing to find out more, Blizzard Entertainment soon came public with just enough information to sink the hook in their subscriber’s wallets.
The official word is out, Wrath of the Lich King is coming. In the second expansion for the popular game, Wrath takes players to the continent of Northrend to explore never before seen content and brave even more challenging quests and adventures.

I have been on the Internet for over ten years now. I think I got my first Web TV back when I was 18. The thing was atrocious. You couldn’t download and some sites wouldn’t work right. Chat sites did work though, so I quickly learned to chat as the damned thing wouldn’t accommodate much else. Once I moved to the PC, I would still go into the chat rooms to talk to people I had met and kill time between working or when I couldn’t sleep.
Eventually, I began to roleplay, which is the equivalent of telling a story online. Now they have Second Life. I’ve never been to Second Life and do not have any desire to go. However, I understand the basic concept. An avatar represents who you are and you live in a little fantasy type world. You and your avatar go through actions like you would in real life.
So, naturally people have sex in these environments. This is no big surprise as before you had avatars like this, people had cybersex the old fashioned way (without the avatar). Naturally, as one would expect, people like doing this sort of thing. However, some like it so much that they don’t want to do anything else.
