 It is being reported that Heathcliff “Heath” Andrew Ledger, famous for roles in such movies as Brokeback Mountain and Candy, was found dead in one of his homes in Soho this afternoon. According to TMZ, Ledger was found by a housekeeper at around 3:35 PM. The untimely death of Ledger, a former native of Perth, Australia, is shocking to those in the industry and especially those who were close to him.
Sources in law enforcement have informed TMZ that the death does not appear to be criminal in nature. Apparently, prescription pills were found near Ledger’s body, which makes the death appear to be a suicide or overdose. Further reports are starting to label the death as accidental though it is still too early to know for sure.
An autopsy is scheduled for sometime tomorrow though reports are now coming in that Ledger’s body was found face down with no visible signs of injury. It is also being reported that the bed was strewn with prescription medications making it appear more and more like an overdose occurred whether accidental or otherwise. To perpetuate things, friends of the actor have stated that Ledger had a substance abuse problem though he never went into rehab and it is believed he was clean for over a year.

 Paula Abdul wants a baby. She wants one bad. She’s 45, the eggs are getting stale and time is running short. Besides, the Coke she drinks each season on AI is probably helping to rot them, considering we all know it’s not really Coke. She feels the contestants on AI are like her children, but like most kids that would be Paula’s they opt for emancipation after a few short months, running off for better things and more interesting addicts.
Needless to say, since the AI kids always dump mommy she is looking for a more permanent situation. She’s told Ladies Home Journal that she really does want a baby. According to an article in the magazine, Paula told LHJ, “I want kids! If it doesn’t happen naturally, I can always adopt! I’ve experienced real loneliness, so I love knowing there’s someone I can share the good and the not-so-good with.”

 When they were releasing drunks who violated probation from jail they should have considered 24 Star, Kiefer Sutherland rather than former Lost star, Michelle Rodriquez. Michelle was released from jail recently after being sent back for the second time for probation violation, lying about performing community service, and other issues. Now that she is back on the streets she’s out, in the driver’s seat, informing the paps that she has some post-dated New Year’s partying to do.
You would think she would have learned something. Of course, with as little amount of time as they keep her in there it would seem impossible for her to get the point of the arrest. At least in Paris’ case she was there long enough to become someone’s bitch.

 Recently Katie Holmes had an interview to promote her new movie, Mad Money. She sat down with the Extra Crew with her co-stars Queen Latifah and Diane Keaton. Katie got a chance to talk about the intense radar that she is under in her everyday life. She responded by saying:
“What is normal for us is normal for us, and everybody has a good day and a bad day, I mean, we all have our days.”
How prolific Katie. Really. This is the woman Diane Keaton compares to Kathryn Hepburn. Please! She could only dream of being as good at acting as Hepburn’s left toe.
In the picture to the right, Katie is outside GMA this morning. WTF is she thinking? She looks like she’s a journalist spy working for Austin Powers. Actually, scratch that – he did have better taste. Is that a wig or is Tommy finally convincing her that it’s time to give all hope for a career and she needs to move into the bunker with her Scientology manual, L’s sperm jug, and get to reproducing the next set of alien babies for the benefit of our nation…or his – the Alien Nation, that is.

 Today is the day for the newest big Britney custody hearing. The attorney’s have advised her that she needs to be there. Her care package of Cheetos, Doritos, and Starbucks has been packed. She should be all ready to go. Her wig was even brushed out by her new boyfriend and was ready to go on the bedside table. Yet Britney still hasn’t shown up. What gives?
K-Fed dragged his playa ass out of bed to make the trip to the courthouse. The lawyers all showed up, too. Hell, even the judge decided to come. Yet Britney just didn’t seem to make it – at least, not yet.
Sources for People Magazine claim that Britney has no intention of heading to the hearing today. This is a direct slap in the face to her attorney’s, who informed her that it was incredibly important that she be at the hearing today. After all, the purpose of this hearing is to look at Brit’s recent meltdown and to determine whether or not any rights should be reinstated to the messed up mommy now that K-Fed has been given sole custody of little Sean Preston and Jayden James.
Personally, I think they should allow Britney to just call in. After all, with her busy pop-star career actually going to court can be such a hassle whether it’s for a DUI or custody of your kids. Anyone can work a phone, even Britney, so why not cut her some slack? Besides, the calls would be seriously amusing. I can just picture them now:
