Katherine vs. Kelly: Who was the Better Non-Idol?

March 25, 2008

They both technically lost when they were on Season Five. Kelly lost by more than Katherine, but losing is losing even if you come in second. However, now it seems the tides have certainly turned and while Pickler has excelled in her genre, McPhee has been placed in the leftover fluff pile to rot.

They both have new albums they are working on (I am guessing one will be more successful than the other…again) and they both recently came back to AI to perform live. The performances are both below. The question is…who do you think performed better?

Katherine McPhee sang during the first Beatles Week.

Question of the Day: Who Would You Save from a Burning Building?

February 15, 2008

Burning HouseIf you had to choose between saving your mother or your lover from a burning building, who would you choose and why?

I wouldn’t have a choice. My mom would tell me to save Dom because we’re young and have our futures ahead of ourselves. Even if I tried to save her, she’d still make me save Dom first. So, I would unfairly be forced to choose to save him. The answer would be chosen for me! Furthermore, with Dom out of the house, my mom would have a much easier time of trying to save herself than Dom would of saving himself.

While I know that my choice would be quite difficult (I love my Mommy very much), for Dom, the choice would be a no brainer!

Question of the Day: What Would You Name a Dozen Kids?

February 11, 2008

Cheaper by the DozenI just happened to catch the tail end of the movie, Cheaper by the Dozen 2, on HBO this afternoon. That got me to thinking about what it would be like to have a dozen children. Not only would it be hard to raise so many kids, you’d have to come up with all those names to give to twelve kids! That being said, this brings me to the question of the day.

The question I have for all of you is, if you had 12 kids, what would you name all of them? To make things more interesting, lets say you have a set of twins (boys or girls - it doesn’t matter) as your two youngest children. If you already have children, feel free to include their names as the first few children on your list!

I consulted with Ashtyn (feel free to consult with your partner, as well) and this is the list of twelve that we came up with for the children we would have if we had a dozen.
